I have used WS 3.1 for the Drake receivers and it works quite well.
It allows use of the ILG database files, assuming you have a valid ILG password, and also allows the user to scan several bands at once with a very nice feature called Hyperscan. If you have an RX-320, the control program also can be used in a 'cluster' mode with the 320 scanning in the background while your Drake is simultaneously used by you for program listening, surfing, etc. The program will control all the major functions of your R8A/R8B, including the sync detector, filter selection, etc. Offsets can be entered to 'zero beat' the receiver in any mode. Brian "TL" wrote in message ... www.dxtra.com now has World Station 3.1 software for the Drake R8x radios. Does anyone have experience with the software? I currenty use Smart R8 (registered) but am growing impatient for the 'coming someday' Version 4. Thanks. |
