tk5 v0.2 is now available for free download. tk5 is open source,
multi-platform software for configuring the ICOM IC-R5 receiver. I wrote tk5 chiefly for radio hobbyists who use Linux, MacOS X, BSD, Solaris, Unix, or other non-Windows operating systems. tk5 works on Windows-based systems (95 and later), too. Changes in version 0.2 include: -New controls permit access to a special bank of 70 television channels. -A csv file of 100 international shortwave broadcast frequencies is included with the distribution. -Frequencies out of the range 0.1 - 1309.995 MHz are rejected as invalid. -Users are prevented from importing a csv file until they have opened a template file or read an image from the radio. tk5 is undergoing development. You can learn about and freely download an experimental version of tk5 from: http://parnass.com I don't warrant the software, though it will cost you nothing. I do not own an IC-R5. Thanks to Grove Enterprises, who lent me an IC-R5 for testing and to David Owen, who provided IC-R5 memory layout and cloning information. I am indebted to Lee M. who helped test tk5 using a Japanese version IC-R5. -- ================================================== ======================= Bob Parnass, AJ9S GNU/Linux User http://parnass.com |
