I want to buy a good quality but lightweight headpohnes for SW listening.
Any recommendations will be appreciated.

I have some Sony mdr-cd160 Digital Reference headphones that I have been
using for years. They work very well, and I think I may have gotten them at
Radio Shack, but that has been years ago.

Try looking at Sennheisser

I use a pair of the Vanco HF24RS mono headphones that I bought on ebay for
15 bucks or so and they are great! They are intended for racing or high
noise venues as they really blank out unwanted sound and muffle any outside
noise. I use them for scanners and shortwave - can't beat them for the
price - only drawback is they are not lightweight.
