For everyone's information, just found this new review. It's only 2
days old! It looks like Sangean is coming out with a new radio. It looks pretty good too. Something unique is that there is a user feedback form so you can send a message to the CEO of Sangean. This is a must read for everyone intersted in radio. The radio won't even be released for another 2 months. http://www.radiolabs.com/Articles/woodradio.html Just thought I would let everyone know! Ciao! Lee |

Very nice radio. AM/FM for the U.S., and AM/FM/LW for the U.K.
Too bad no SW. Very nice though. Finally some class, liberation from simple black and silver plastic. Regards. In article , (Lee Marcus) wrote: For everyone's information, just found this new review. No doubt. Me thinks that the radio manufacturers are missing a market in
nostalgic items, especially if they can offer at least a moderate degree of performance. As those of us that are in their 40s, 50s, and 60s age, we would make ideal purchasers especially if they can market the items like "mom's apple pie", from a seemingly more innocent age when radio ruled supreme. Regards. In article , "Frank Dresser" wrote: I saw a repro tombstone radio at the Salvation Army store the other day. The design wasn't half bad. I would have bought it if it the veneer wasn't damaged in a couple of places, exposing the chipboard underneath. Or if it had a SW band. I'm guessing it was around 10 years old. I hope they reproduce metal cabinet radios. Not like VCR box metal. Like SX-28 metal. That would be cool. Frank Dresser Never say never. Nothing is absolute. |

Hello Diverd,
God, that article is so funny! I have read it about 2 or 3 times now and still laughing my a%* off! Chris Justice has got a pretty good sense of humor! What starts with a "B" and rhymes with "hose"? Holy crap! I showed that to my wife and she even knew what it was!! That's some pretty classic writing, even for an engineer. (Chris, if you are reading this, don't take offense!) Good looking radio! If it is anything like Chris said it is, should be a good one to buy. Think I will sign up on the list and get my pre-order in. Ok, back to some pirate broadcasting on 6955!! Propogation sucks though! Ciao! Lee |

Especially considering this thing looks like a replica of the Tivoli. And the e-mails to the CEO of Sangean actually go back to the website. So writing "stop making your radios in China, dummy" won't accomplish anything. -- Col. I.P. ![]() The Henry Kloss radios "Model One" and "Tivoli" are selling like hotcakes (I guess) in Europe right now... I think Sangean is trying to cash in on this same "wave" by offering a similar radio with an emphasis on easy operation , small size , and very good sound for the price. -- Knut Otterbeck Oslo - Norway http://www.geocities.com/grundig_satellit Grundig Satellit info & Radio links (Alternate e-mail: ) "I.
