Bilateral linear amplifier / AFTERBURNER plus. This classic amp powers up just
fine. It was once part of a neighbors old radio set up, but the set up has been
gone many years now. I have tested this amp and it powers up clean. I have no
radio set up to test it further. It has a serial # plate on the rear of the
unit that names the serial # 6471. There is also another # etched into the
bottom 052-4848-72. There is another #130205313 etched on the top of the
housing case. Cosmetically the unit is in great shape. All the lettering is
still clear and clean. The item had been stored carefully all these years. The
controls include dials for "Tune" and "Load" as well as switches for REC AMP
on/off, XMT/Standby, SSB/AM-FM, On/Off. There is an output meter and a Power on
Light.

The 482 Bilateral linear is a compact precision built amp of advanced design it
utilizes an intergrated circuit, two tubes, two transisters and nine diodes in
a grounded-grid, tuned-plate circuit for amplification of AM,FM,CW,AND SSB
signals. It will operate over a frequency range of 25-54 MHz, It will take from
one to fifteen watt input with 80 watts carrier on CW/FM, 60 watts AM/100%
modulation, 100 watts SSB/DSB(Amateur Service) Recieve amplifer 20db gain.
