For Sale: $150.00 for all items below.
I will not ship, you pick up in San Antonio, Tx. Receiver weighs about 70 pounds. Signal Corps US Army Radio Receiver BC-342-M, SN 397 RCA Manufacturing Co. Camden, N.J. Original, not a photocopy: War Department Technical Manual TM 11-4001 Repair Instructions for BC-312 and BC-342 Receivers War Department, February 1945 Photocopy of Operation Manual and additional notes with schematic diagrams. The receiver is the 120v (not dc dynamotor) type and works properly. Some modifications were made but they are of the gain improvement variety (replacing cathode resistors and such). Modifications are documented. Includes control cable CD-566, 2 mounting brackets, and original schematic on metal plate that was originally mounted inside the receiver. Receive frequency is 1.5 to 18mc (MHz for you young troops), and includes a crystal filter. The unit requires an external speaker and 2-prong power cord. Use of a 2-prong power cord causes 30-volts to appear between chassis and 3rd wire neutral. I suspect there are leaky power supply capacitors.
