There seems to be a constant data type signal around 6050 khz. I can
barely fish out Radio Exterior de Espana on 6055 underneath the mess using narrowband AM and deep attenuation on my Yaesu, but the signal is totally swamped by databursts every few seconds. I heard REE ID in English at 0000 pretty clearly, but then it was blown away by this other signal. Does anybody know what this data signal is? |

REE is coming in at 10 over 9 on 6055. I think you had a problem with this before, and when I checked then I heardno 'data' signal on 6050. I reposted because I saw no responses to my previous posting. Anyway, whatever it is it's only in that area-I know because I tuned 50 khz up and down and it disappears. It's definitely some type of modulated signal, because it goes on and off. I suppose it could be some sort of QRM from something here in the house, but I've tried turning off everything I could think of and it's still there. I'll go back and see if I can't isolate a source. |

Tommyknocker: If not in your house (and I doubt it, though it's possible), it could still be - relatively - close to you, whereas others in different locations are outside it's range.
