Default DX-398

Is there some indicator on the DX-398 when you are running from AC power vs
Battery. I have hooked up the radio to the adapter and expected some type of
indicator? Read the manual and did not see anything?

Thanks,

James, about the only indicator of battery versus mains/wall wart powering is
via your lcd backlighting, which will remain lit via mains powering.

I wish that were the case with my DX-392. When the power plug fails to connect
properly with the flaky jack, though, I get a flashing E.
