I copied Channel Africa on 9770 at 0300Z - station was S5-S7 with fading and
doing battle with the atmospheric noise.

I think this is out of Johannesburg South Africa.

Setup was Yaesu TS140S and a 40m dipole in my attic....a manually operated
antenna tuner helped clean things up a little bit.

You are correct. I heard Channel Africa on that frequency last night with a
good signal on My Kenwood R-1000. I'm in New York.
