Default Swiss shortwave reception in Southern Ontario

Does anyone know whether one can receive Swiss broadcasts
(music, news, etc.) in Southern Ontario, and if so, roughly
how much would a receiver cost and what's recommended?

I know nothing about shortwave and have never listened to
it (though I'm willing to learn), but my mom is getting
pretty nostalgic for the culture of her youth.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
