Default FRANCE on 183 KHz

This AM broadcast station is so loud tonight that their sidebands are
ruining my ARGO captures on 185.3 KHz.
Not quite HiFi- but very LOUD.

Looks like LW and MW reception is picking up.

I'm next door in UK, and unless it's my new portable radio, French stations
have been very strong last few days.

Dale,

Based on their power, I'd guess that the French language programming
you heard on 183kHz was Europe One, broadcasting from Saarbruchen,
Germany. If you heard anyone under them it'd be quite a catch.

There is an equally powerful French broadcaster on 162kHz, France
Inter from Paris.

Good listening,
Al

Thanks for the info Al. I can get rid of their sidebands with a narrow

filter so they don't bother the 185 kHz gang- just surprised to hear music
down there last night!\
