For it's size, why does this radio sound so good? Is there something particularly notable about the components? |

Must be just a decent quality speaker, resonant cabinet and low distortion
amplifier. I agree with you, the 399 is quite a listenable radio for its size. I have lately been travelling with a Tecsun PL200 which actually receives a bit better, but the sound quality is quite poor in comparision. "T. Early" wrote in message ... particularly notable about the components? I don't know 'T', but it surely is a nice piece and yes it does have great audio for it's size. I've taken mine everywhere for about a month or tweo and then put it in a box for close to a year. Think it's time to break her back out and sit her next to the scanner in the living room. :-) |
