Default service for Philips DC-777?

Anybody know where I can get a Philips DC-777 mobile shortwave receiver
serviced? One side of the LED display is dimmed, like a bulb is out (but I
don't think LED displays use bulbs).

Thanks.

I presume you mean it is a LCD display.
As I have in another Philips car-radio, where the bulb went out.
In this radio the bulb was in series with a resister to get a fine
dimmed light.
When replacing the bulb check this resistor.
