Right! Let's base our foreign policy on public opinion! Not on what's right and what's wrong. Public opinion has to be the ONLY reason a government acts. Anything else is a dictatorship. The PEOPLE tell the government what to do, NOT the other way around. Amazing how the allegedly 'conservative' voices now support huge government and the passing of laws detrimental to liberty. Those are the traits previously ascribed to 'socialists' and 'liberals' and 'democrats'. A neo-con by any other name is still a CON. mike |

![]() All of that would be correct, except there is a difference now. We are at war. This enemy is hell-bent on our destruction. I would much rather have a few people photographed naked than have another 9-11 style attack on the United States. There are 19 (nineteen) nations with Arabic as the principal language. Not ONE of them is a democracy. Not a single one! Interesting, isn't it? |

Are you suggesting that all democratic Arab nations are our enemies? Do you have any clue what you're advocating? Do you, Fat Boy? |

You just had to go and pick on the Lao PDR, didn't you?
I liked my stay in Laos. Good food and good beer (700 ml bottles for 70 cents) and some intersting sites in the northern part of the country. It was one of the most relaxed countries that I have ever visited. Cambodia was a very different story. Every time I exited a temple site in and around Angkor Wat I was instantly besieged by people trying to sell me all sorts of trinkets and drinks and food. 3 days of that began to wear a little thin. And going to Laos was my one chance to hear Lao Radio ;-). John Barnard RHF wrote: MWB, Re-Posted for Your Re-Education {Oh, "Pretty Hard to Dismiss" One} : !
