Regarding the Maritime channels, 2182 for initial emerg. calling, and I
think 2160 ? which they switch to after, I believe both of these are SSB ?
Correct ?

If so, USB or LSB ?

Is AM (or fm) ever used for these freq's ?

Is there a "general rule" regarding when Upper SB is used, and when Lower SB
is used ?
e.g., below any frequency, it might be more common to use..., etc.

USB, almost everything that is on SSB except hams is on USB, with a few
on LSB and some on both.
