Default Newbie - Need info on NEXXTECH 8-BAND SHORTWAVE RADIO

I am looking for a no frills swr (don't know nothing about swr) that will
allow me to listen to Canadian and US news while in Mexico. I also would
like to take it with me Europe. I seen the above radio at radio shack.

Any comments?

Thanks

That certainly is no frills. What type of US news are you wanting to hear?
You mean on the SW band or the BCB(530-1700)?

I'm pretty sure you'll be able to pickup CRI on shortwave with it, I just don't
know much about that particular radio.

More so Canadian and international news as opposed to just American. We can
catch that in the hotel room.

For Canada, check the Radio Canada International broadcast list he
http://www.rcinet.ca/horaires/A04_SW_24h.pdf and make sure the radio has
coverage of the proper frequencies.

Remember, with Radio Shack, you can still return it for 30 days if you are
not satisfied, so long as it's in good condition.

Kinda both.... my nephew has his identity on the computer, so I often don't
check which profile I am on. ;-)
