Default Voice of Turkey

Hi there,

Here are the current frequencies on which the Voice of Turkey
broadcasts in full. I know they're official because I work there, and
this taken straight from the announcement I read before every
broadcast!

0300 - 0350 UTC: 7270 kHz, 41 meter band (Middle East)
0300 - 0350 UTC: 6140 kHz, 49 meter band (Europe and North America)
1230 - 1325 UTC: 15225 kHz, 19 meter band (Europe)
1230 - 1325 UTC: 15535 kHz, 19 meter band (Asia and Australia)
1830 - 1920 UTC: 9785 kHz, 31 meter band (Europe)
2030 - 2120 UTC: 7170 kHz, 41 meter band (Asia and Australia)
2200 - 2250 UTC: 9830 kHz, 31 meter band (Europe and North America)

Those are our frequencies for the moment. I'll be sure to update them
here as and when they change.

Do try to join us by the way for our "Live from Turkey" strand,
broadcast every Tuesday from 1830 UTC. We take telephone calls live on
the air; all you have to do is give us a call, leave us your number
and we will call you right back. It's on us!

Go on, you know you want to.

Michael

If you are looking for broadcasts from Turkey check out either:

http://www.susi-und-strolch.de/eibi/bc-a04.txt

or:

http://www.eibi.de.vu/

(They will both get you to the same info)

The EiBi skeds I have found to be generally more up to date than most
other sources. As a matter of fact, the skeds have been updated as of
today, July 28.

What about 9460 khz? Has that recently been dropped?

I was hearing a very nice signal from VoT on 9460 on Fri. Aug 6, about
0200 or so and on into my local evening. That's the standard frequency
I've been using, but will check out the ones you mention.

We certainly don't announce that frequency on the air and I wasn't
aware of it until now, but considering you've been hearing us a
recently as 4 days ago on it, it's got to be working! Presenters here
don't tend to meet the broadcast engineers that often, but I'll try my
best to see what the deal is with 9460 kHz. Will keep you posted!
