This link downloads a zip file containing a PDF (80 kb) with a 2 page Press
Release from the Australian National 4WD Radio Network Inc (VKS-737) which has 6000 members. Each member will receive one in their September 2004 mailing. If it's happened, I'd sure like to know, as I've been trying to follow this issue closely. On the contrary, BPL looks like a failure in many of the highly touted test sites: http://www.gobpl.com/index.html I don't know if conditions in Australia favor BPL more than in the US. I tend to think the US politicians approved BPL just to let it fail, rather than get blamed for blocking a new wave in internet access. Frank Dresser |
