Where can I tune to hear US political talk on the shortwave dial. I live in the
northeast/mid-atlantic region. I don't care if it is liberal or conservative. I prefer not to listen to reruns or religious programming. Thanks. Mark York PA |

Check out the "Best shortwave political programs" thread on this group. It covers pretty much the same ground. I don't care if it is liberal or conservative. If I was limited to only one word to describe SW political programming, that word would be "conspiranoiac". I prefer not to listen to reruns or religious programming. Reruns are often played when the host is taking the day off or there's technical difficulties. They aren't always announced ahead of time. You will miss some very informative Special Knowledge programming if you avoid the religious broadcasters. Most of the SW conspiranoiacs believe Satan himself is at the top of all the great conspiracies. Thanks. M Y P I see you're posting from AOL. One possibility, if I recall correctly, is there's an option to mark all posts read on exiting the newsreader. This will keep them from being displayed the next time the newsreader is opened. There might be a "mark all posts unread" option, but I haven't used AOL in a long time, and I don't remember all the fine points. There should be a newsgroup called aol.newsgroups.help available to you, and there should be plenty of good advice there. Frank Dresser |
