Yes indeed, And it is a wonderful movie. I have great memories of the early '70s when I was living in NYC and discovered Samurai movies. Some of the best were by Akira Kurawasawa. They were like westerns but with all the allure of a similar myth-world in a wonderfully different culture. Leonard -- "Everything that rises must converge" --Flannery O'Connor Yes it is a good movie. Me and my friends would watch all those old Japanese movies on Saturdays. They would run all morning. That's were I first saw it. A real classic. -- 73 and good DXing. Brian ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A lot of radios and 100' of rusty wire! It was remade into a movie starring Bruce Willis a couple years ago, can't
recall the title, kinda forgettable, not a patch on the Kurosawa flick IMO, nor Leone's. Cheers. (BTW watch Star Wars some time, then watch Kurosawa's "Hidden Fortress," your jaw will drop. Similarities, anyone...?) "Brian Hill" wrote in message ... "Leonard Martin" wrote in message ... It has to do with shortwave, 'cos sw radio is one of the few places
Americans can hear some truth. You sure ain't gonna find it reading Drudge, listening to Limbaugh, watching Fox News. "Noel" wrote in message ... On Wed, 29 Sep 2004 14:24:10 -0400, "yojimbo" wrote: Operation American Repression? What does it have to do with shortwave? |

You sure ain't gonna find it reading Drudge, listening to Limbaugh, watching Fox News. Or reading your posts. And another perpetual idiot hits the bottom of the can with the ultimately satisfying sound of PLONK. |
