Default reception has been good

Very good reception of both European and Asian targets here. We had snow
last Thurs (30 Sept), must be the clear cold weather since. Don't know if
this is the cause, but usually seems to coincide. Snow didn't last, but we
are getting 5 to 20 F/-5 to -10 C over night these days.

GEEZ. I thought it was cold here in San Jose. It's been getting down into
the high 50's during the night, 70's in the afternoon!!!!

Here in southern Minnesota, we've had a few chilly nights (including last
Friday, when it got down to the freezing mark) but it has generally been
very nice for early October. Yesterday it was in the 70's. Today it was in
the 50's, but then back into the 70's come Wednesday through Friday. The
leaves are starting to change too. No more bugs, either. I love this time of
year.

It has cooled off here with a low of 60 F at night to high of 83 F
during the day.

Without a doubt, this is the most wonderful season. No mosquitoes,
just cold enough to keep the windows cracked open at night, and
it's a great time to go for a drive along the river to see the leaves'
colors.

Now...where and when will I go fishing?

I'm heading up just south of Mille lacs this weekend for a little dxing,
fishing and duck hunting. Was 33F in Blaine this AM. Time to get the
snowmobile tuned up.

Now, that sounds nothing short of perfect!
I might visit the old quarry ponds South of St. Cloud for
some trout fishing.

shiver We went all the way down to 31 F last night. We were supposed
to be in the sixties today, but it looks like we made it all the way to
56 F.

Funny time for BCB DX. At night most frequencies are a roar. Only the
old standbys are any good.

Same here with the 31 F, and currently at 54. Maybe warmer tomorrow.

I'm getting ready for ice fishing. Should be good to go in 6-8 weeks. Love
it when we get ice and limited snow for a while. Skate between the holes.
