Default Radio Victoria, Peru

Peru, 6020.30, Radio Victoria, Pres. 0930-0940 Noted a man
in steady preaching. This is a regular feature of this
station every morning. The same format continues beyond
1000 UTC. No ID given. Signal this morning was good.
Needed to notch out a Het from 6020. (Chuck Bolland, October

Hello Chuck, I was listening to Radio Victoria,
Lima on 6020.28 kHz this Sunday morning 1000-1030
UTC. Up to 1025 UTC Portuguese religious program
"Dios es Amor" - brasilian portugues and talk on
telephone with someone in Sao Paulo, sounded
exactly as a Brasilian station but 1025 UTC
Spanish from Radio Victoria.

R. Victoria, Lima, Peru - suspected

Early this morning, 10/28/04 0445 to after 0500 UTC, I listened to a
station on 6020.24, in Spanish, with what sounded like a dynamic
revival speech by a high-powered preacher. This went on until 0457,
then gentler announcements over soft cheerfully reverent background
music, followed by a return to the dynamic speaking mode at 0500.

I have QRM coming and going, and right about the time when an ID would
have been expected the noise level shot up and drowned the station
before I could subdue the noise; but the QRM subsided and the signal
became clear again.

Overall, SINPO = 22232, only significant interference was bleedover
from bubble jammer on Radio Marti 10 kHz away, signal varied from S2
to as high as S8. If this is R. Victoria, and they are operating 5 kW
as stated, then it is certainly the best signal I have ever received
from a Peruvian station, and the best signal from a 5 kW station over
that distance. As this frequency is typically clear at this time, I
will try this again tonight.
