Greetings All,
A friend was just given a Grundig Satellit 500 still in the original box. The box looked to be in poor condition (dirty, damp?) But the radio had not even had the power cord unraveled. Brand new condition. He plugged it in and it received for about 10 seconds before it went deaf. If he waits a few hours, it will receive again for 10 seconds and deaf again. I know that there are a few radio techs in this group, any thoughts? Power supply caps need replacing? Thanks for any advice. PS - no, he does not want to sell it, I already asked! Pat |
