My Japanese is limited to what's on the menu at the local restaurants so I didn't recognize anything they said - but I can say they aren't talking about what they had for dinner 8-} |

Yep, they seemed to just be shooting the bull but my Japanese is far
from perfect. My first suspicion is the fishing boat bootleggers as well. They have a problem with showing up on 75m and jamming QSOs. I've even gotten attention on occasion and told them to be quiet and that they can't transmit on the frequency (in Japanese) and they just QSY like 50 kHz one way or the other. They're bootleggers, though.
