I'm looking for a HF (500Khz to 50MHz or so) multicoupler/ antenna-splitter
that would allow mulipler receivers to use the same antenna with little or no signal loss or interaction. Ideally, this unit would have SO-239 connectors. Number of outputs would be 4 at a minimum, more is better. Will consider active or passive units. Thanks |

There's a kit on Ebay...looks good.
I found it by searching under "HF Receiver" Universal-Radio.com lists several units too |

You might want to check this out: http://www.stridsberg.com/ Though I don't think any have SO-239's, they work very well. I use the MCA104 here, which is quite similar to the MCA104M. Beware of the sticker shock though, as prices have gone up. dxAce Michigan USA |

Try: http://www.arraysolutions.com/Products/ice/ Not only will it meet or exceed specs of anything Stridsberg builds for a LOT less money, ICE will custom install the connectors of your choice at no extra charge. I use ICE active multicouplers for my guard receivers, and am very happy with all of the many products I have purchased there. Jack Painter Virginia Beach VA |

I may order up one of the ICE units and test it out. I was fortunate enough to get my MCA104 on eBay a number of years ago for $60. ;-) dxAce Michigan USA |

The one I have that I purchased on eBay did not come with a power supply. I currently use a wall-wart. dxAce Michigan USA http://www.iserv.net/~n8kdv/dxpage.htm |

Subject: WTB: HF Multicoupler/Antenna Splitter

Thanks Mini-circuits has them. 4-way passive: http://www.mini-circuits.com/dg03-134.pdf 8-way passive: http://www.mini-circuits.com/dg03-138.pdf On HF, noise is the limiting factor, so if you still have the S-meter moving above where it is when nothing is connected when you insert the 8-way splitter, you haven't lost much. (Yes, Nf, but is that really relevent here?) Don't know how to read the charts? Call Mini-Circuits -- they happily do quantity 1 orders and have been helpful when I've dealt with them. (Mini-circuits modules are what you find inside Stridsberg splitters. I don't know about ICE, but they are a reputable company, so you should get good quality whatever they do.) -- Eric F.
