Well, your Child in School will now be screened by a Bureaucrat(s) That will come to Your local school. (sounds like "Brave New World" Huh?) Keep telling Yourself "It couldn't happen here" while IT IS HAPPENING. Not worried Adults? They said It will eventually "extend to adults" All in the Name of Profits for Drug companies. Remember this happened in a majority republican House,Senate Congress. The Vote has passed and Now Bush Will Sign it. Do you happen to have links to the actual bills, or information so I could track them down? I couldn't find this information on the link you provided. I couldn't even find a quote from the legislation. I'd like to read what it actually says before making up my mind about it. |

For the ASPers that need to know what this mouth-breather is all about, go to http://www.thomasmore.org/ and see if this is something you want to sign on to. It seems funny how these people stand to make billions in profits when the plan is implemented. ========================================== Pharmaceutical companies contributed $27 million in individual, PAC and soft money contributions to Congress in the 2002 election cycle -- 75 percent to republicans. In 2004, drug companies have contributed more than $7 million to national officeholders -- 66 percent to Republicans. According to analysis by FTCR, Governor Schwarzenegger has received over $325,000 in campaign contributions from pharmaceutical companies. http://releases.usnewswire.com/GetRelease.asp?id=34341 =========================================== |

It doesn't call for forced mental health screening. It calls for making mental health screening routine, and available to everyone. That's different from "forced" or "mandatory". Before you argue against the bill, you might want to read it, and the report it's based on. Here's the text of the bill: http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c108:H.CON.RES.292: Here's the final report of the commission: http://www.mentalhealthcommission.gov/reports/reports.htm Here's the executive summary: http://www.mentalhealthcommission.gov/reports/Finalreport/FullReport.htm |
