He made about $250 on the Drake that closed last night.

It'll be interesting to see how he does on this one:

The buy:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=15051&item=5730743 395&rd=1

The sell:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=15051&item=5734715 110&rd=1

"I have enjoyed listening to the BBC world service on SW many an evening but its time to move this receiver on to some one who can spend more time enjoying it than I can." - he bought it two weeks before he listed it.

I wonder if this dork realizes he's the laughing stock of Usenet?

And making a nice living doing it........

As someone who sells equipment on eBay as a hobbyist, NOT a dealer, and
occassionally even a buyer, I will tell you that eBay is a great tool for
both endeavors, assuming you know what you are doing.

eBay is a science, and only to be mastered after study, trial and error.

However, do not for a minute think that it is the grand protector of it's
users.

Radio Mart has been reported numerous times and eBay is well aware of his
activities, yet he continues to be active. He is making money, so they are
making money and that's what it is all about.

The feedback, security and safe harbor systems are a facade, and flawed to
the max.

I just feel sorry for the poor people falling for the dupe...

Heres another big ass lie. He bought the Patterson PR-16 from fredtraprock
who is a very well known collector of old comm gear on Ebay and he's
reselling it saying:

Quote- "I was delighted when I was offered this Patterson short wave
receiver, I snapped it up and rushed home with it anxious to get it up and
running. This was left in a will to a grandson of a radio enthusiast, he
cleansed it up and left it sat on a shelf."

Yea like he found it in his travels. What a weirdo! He bought it on Ebay!

Heres freds auction:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=57305047 82

And heres Radio-Mart:
