Hi everybody,
I just got a Degan 1102 today. What a great radio, I've been listening to it for a couple of hours so far. Anyway, the 220v converter that came with it got busted up during shipping. I didn't really want to deal with returning it just for the converter so I figure I'd go pick up one of those universal ac adapters. If I stick with the 6v 300mA will it be ok? I don't know if going with a 110v adapter would make any difference but I just wanted to make sure before something blew up. What about the size of the plug that goes into the radio? Will it fit? Thanks, Xavier |

If the Degen is looking for 6v dc then whether it comes from a 110 or
220 volt power supply is irrelevant. The important point is whether the center pin in the connector is negative or positive and whether you can find one to fit. At one time RS sold power supplies with changeable tips, so you might check with them. Also make sure the power supply is rated to just a little over the needs of the radio. Let me know what you find. I have a 1103 on the way. |

Xavier7913,
You may wish to inquire at the KAITO / DEGEN 1102 eGroup on YAHOO ! about what others have done for 110VAC to 6VDC Power Adapters. DEGEN-1102 = http://groups.yahoo.com/group/KAITO-DEGEN1102/ .. hth ~ RHF .. .. |
