Hi Tianli,
Yes, there's DX you can catch within a short distance of the coast that is virtually impossible inland. On mediumwave, you can catch some countries that are no longer on shortwave, such as Fiji, Tonga, Tahiti, the Marshall Islands, and the Cook Islands, to name a few. Which reminds me... if you'd like a taste of the broadcasting of Radio Cook Islands, you can listen to two MP3 recordings I made when I was in Rarotonga in 1993. Check out the files on Chris Mackerell's (NZ) Web site: http://www.owdjim.gen.nz/chris/radio..._Cook_Islands/ 73, Guy "tianli" wrote in message ... Ocean City State Park is north of the well-known Grayland DXpedition site, and across Grays Harbor on the sandy, flat Ocean Shores pennisula. Thanks for sharing your logs Guy. One of these days I've got to head over to the west coast and give Pacific MW dx a shot! |
