I always thought that BCB reception was more limited by interference
from stations on the same frequency rather than any propagation limit, at least CONUS. You can hear hams coast to coast on 160 meters. Granted they use sideband and a smaller audio bandwidth, but the hams aren't pumping out 10kw either. |
