From spam.abuse.net:
**There are two main types of spam, and they have different effects on Internet users. Cancellable Usenet spam is a single message sent to 20 or more Usenet newsgroups. (Through long experience, Usenet users have found that any message posted to so many newsgroups is often not relevant to most or all of them.) Usenet spam is aimed at "lurkers", people who read newsgroups but rarely or never post and give their address away. Usenet spam robs users of the utility of the newsgroups by overwhelming them with a barrage of advertising or other irrelevant posts. Furthermore, Usenet spam subverts the ability of system administrators and owners to manage the topics they accept on their systems. Now there are a couple of not-so-bright people in here who think because I own a part-time shortwave/ham business, that I am not allowed to discuss any of MY products that are mentioned BY OTHERS in rrs. Isn't that ridiculous? After all, who would know more about those products than the person who mfg's them! And to TRY and further their weak arguement, they cry "SPAM". Sorry, guys. Ain't gonna work. And to prove it, I invite ANY of you guys and gals that are so obessively-compulsed with me, my TinyTenna...or my not-so-TinyTenna....to contact Google Absue, and send them examples of my so-called "spamming". I'm sure Google.com will be objective enough in there decisions..... Until such time, I will continue to participate and talk about ANY product ANYBODY in rrs talks about. (Self appointed usenet police or not....) I are..... William (Bill) E.
