Default Helicopter flying noise on 23 MHz

Date: March 09, 2005
Time: 0530 UTC
Freq: 23770 MHz - 23803 MHz
Rcvr: Sony ICF 2010

Have never heard such noise before. It is
still going on at 0535 UTC and is driving me
nuts.

Noise is constant and absolutely no modulation.
Listened on AM and SSB mode. Any idea what is
this?

Hi,

I wish I had made the recording. But just imagine you are near the airport and
you hear the helicopter hovering above you; same pitch. And the signal covered
the entire freq range I described.

BTW, I am in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Jim
