I have a lot of SWL records and QSL's going back to 1966 (with a
Hallicrafters S-120!) and want to put all of this into a logging program like I did with my amateur radio information. I did a quick search yesterday and saw that there are a few programs that will do this and also generate reception reports. I found one called WRLog (http://www.paraclete-is.com/) for $14.95 and a similar one called Dxtreme Reception Log for $49.95 (http://www.dxtreme.com/). Both seem to do what I want them to do, but one is much more expensive. Has anyone had experience with either of these Or, is there one that is a favorite with the folks here? It's going to take a long time to input all the information and I want to make sure that I get the right software. Thanks! Rick Abshier, KF9SQ |

You may want to take a look at Shortwave Log (SWLog). It's free and
loaded with features: http://www.shortwavelog.com/default-english.html |

It allows me to create my own fields, sort by any field, search, etc. It's very versatile. I can even copy & paste loggings to a text file or anywhere else I want. I think any database program should work well as a shortwave log. And the best part is, if you already use the software for other purposes, you don't have to pay anything to use it as a logbook. -- Tom Sevart Frontenac, KS http://www.geocities.com/n2uhc |

I=3Fve been using it for some time now and couldn=3Ft be more pleased. It also has a PocketPC component that makes it very handy for logging when I=3Fm out and about (camping trips, vacation, that sort of thing). -- -- //Steve// Steve Silverwood, KB6OJS Fountain Valley, CA Email: |
