![]() http://www.smh.com.au/news/World/Pol...?oneclick=true http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article...543032,00.html In the first years that she was in this horrifying state, her husband Michael did all he could to find treatment, going from hospital to hospital trying new therapies. Terri was sent to California to have experimental platinum electrodes implanted to get her brain going again. Michael slept next to her for five weeks. At the time he and Terri's parents were united in doing all they could for what was left of his wife. Eventually the husband acquiesced to near-universal medical opinion and came to terms with the fact that his wife would never revive. He said that when she was cognisant she had once told him that she did not want to be kept alive artificially for an indefinite period of time. |

Which is exactly what she said too - which is why the courts ignored the new panic law by the republicans (ha ha!) and withdrew the tube AS SHE WISHED. All the people calling for her continued existance as a vegetablke should be ashamed of themselves. "Pro-life" who don't support the right of an individual what quality of life they find acceptable? In the 2000 mayoral elections in London, 331,309 votes where classed as spoilt and rejected, 18.9%. In the 2004 mayoral and gla elections over 500,000 votes where rejected. Florida it seems is not the only place where people do not know how to vote, and the authorities able to count the votes. Well it is extremely difficult for some people to put a tick in a box. Thankfully we have a TV programme to cater for these saddos....Eastenders. |

Quoth m II in news:f0n1e.77791$ZO2.77516@edtnps84:
There have been ten people arrested for trying to bring water in for the soon to be murder victim. That's correct. Had they actually poured water down Terri Schavo's throat, it would have gone into her lungs, and they would have murdered her by drwoning. By arresting those ten people, the police saved Terri Schiavo's life, such as it is. -- George Bush's War of Choice on Iraq is a totally unnecessary war. Every life lost, every limb lost, every disfigurement, every disability caused there is more blood on George W. Bush's hands, and on the hands of everyone who votes for George W. Bush. |

There is most certainly a special place in hell for these evil *******s. mike I agree 100% with you Mike. 15 years is **far too long** for anyone to let one's daughter live with a semi-functional brain stem and a cerebral cortex that has become a non-symbiotic mass of eggplant fazool... Schiavo's parents are truly mentally ill for letting her remain in that condition, a useless body that has it's autonomic life support system 100% dependent upon forced feeding of liquid nutrient supplements, but WITHOUT any mind or functional state of conciseness. (an ADULT FETUS to be most accurate) Is it any suprise that these right wing SCREWBALLS in both the church and the Congress latched onto these two PATHETIC PARENTS for the sole purpose of using their own daughter (!) as a political football.....???? TRULY SICK. (period) ---------------------- http://tinyurl.com/5cdnz ....watching Randall Terry verbally masturbate himself on CNN...$50.00 ....having the US Congress "Legislate" on your personal behalf....$90.00 --- Holding a sign that proclaims "TERRI can SWALLOW(s)" while you and your friends kneel prostrate... PRICELESS! ------------ "The GOP/Republicans spent 55 million of your tax dollars to discover if Monica swallowed so what else is to be expected with Bush in the White House..? - Kenny in alt.politics.duck-flonkers |
