Ah, the jamming has started, I am so glad that the U.S. has an FCC that
enforces the laws that it writes, and is populated with mature people that can actually tolerate the opposing views of others. (oh, excuse this paragraph, I must have fallen asleep and was dreaming). The Liberty Net, largely dominated by like thinking individuals (sic), indeed has it's token counterpoint. W9FAM or, in the vernacular, Vernon J Kaspar Visit http://www.qrz.com/ and insert W9FAM in the "Get Callsign" box at the top of the page. You will be directed to a web page discussing his License status, and can see a picture of Vern. Weekly, Vern (i.e. Mr. Worldly) tells tales of knowing the Saudis, having visited every country that ends in …stan (Pakistan, etc.), Russia, India, and just about everywhere, and he professes to be fluent in many languages. I don't understand how he can visit so many countries, as he is very very old, corpulent, and he is on the radio every week, yet he stills claims to have gone to this place or that in Europe or the Middle East even last year. Vern is proud that the U.S. is becoming an Imperialistic Country, as he says that it is a fait accompli, and that the U.S. citizens should willingly accept the demise of their young fighting these wars of conquest. (I believe that Bush refers to these wars as Democratizing) . Vern is basically the steadfast opponent to the views of the 'net, he even sees the virtue in killing Terry Schiavo, as Vern's wife of 55 years collapsed of this or that, and he wouldn't want her to suffer. Does anyone know anything about Vern? The internet searches that I have made seem to indicate that he, or his family, own a commercial broadcast station or two. The enigma to me is that, even with the affiliation with a small commercial broadcast station, he seems to travel more then most Network News people. My wife thinks that he is delusional, sometimes I believe that she is correct. Any substantive information on this individual would be appreciated. (just historical items, and anything verifying his statements of global travel). http://www.warpradio.com/single.asp?id=3298 (Mentions Vernon, but the link no longer seems maintained) http://www.fcc.gov/eb/Orders/2004/DA-04-711A1.html Mentions Vern Kaspar. http://www.kwre.com/privacy_policy.html Kaspar Broadcasting. http://www.wilo.us/EEO.htm Mentions 2 stations owned by Kaspar Broadcasting. There's more…… Dr. Artaud |
