Right now, BBC7, a satellite network that streams (mostly it has old
radio 4 comedies, mysteries, sci fi, drama, et alia and childrens' programming) is carrying 15 minute readings from Joanna Trollope's novel "Marying the Mistress". I wonder if this is a mere coincidence or if some Broadcasting House drone decided to have a bit of fun with the nine-to-five. I asked by email if the readings were also going to be postponed a day for the Pope's funeral and the respondant said he liked the question but the answer was no. http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbc7/ By the way, they also have Westway, with Real Audio on demand "listen again" and a weekly "omnibus" edition of Westway. Look out for the schedule as it is GMT PLUS ONE. (British summer time.) |
