Sounds like separation of church and state in action! Good!

You know, somehow I don't think Jesus would
approve of all this.

It doesn't matter what "Jesus" - or any other character from any other
book - thinks about this. All that matters is the law - and it was
followed to the letter in this case.

Get over it people. This is a country of laws, not people. We
don't change laws to fit "public opinion" in every case. If you
don't like it, move to Florida and get the laws changed. Otherwise,
butt out.

There's a word for a country where laws change at the whim of opinion.
Dictatorship. If you don't have rule by law, you have rule by men (or
one man). It used to be called divine right of the king-the "king" (or
whatever the dictator of the moment is called) ruled by the grace of
God, not the consent of the governed, and thus was responsible only to
God for his actions. Since God was conveniently absent, the king could
therefore do whatever the hell he wanted, and since the king had the
biggest gun (or army) the people had to follow him-or else. Of course,
when two kings claimed the same territory, the people had to choose one
and prayed that they chose the winning side-if they got unlucky they
were summarily executed. This sort of thing caused a thousand years of
war in Europe, and is still causing wars throughout the world. Bush
apparently wants to return to the divine right of kings, with himself as
the king and the rest of us blown in the wind of his whim. The founders
of America recognized the danger in such an idea, and that's why they
carefully crafted their government to avoid any one person or group
becoming king and dictating their opinions as law. Unfortunately,
Americans seem to have forgotten this, and are all too willing to crown
a king-something the founders avoided like the plague 200 years ago-and
bow to his whim. Only a small minority seem willing to say "hey, this
used to be a country where we didn't bow to kings!", but the majority
wants a king, and they've picked King George The W, and now they want to
make damn sure that everybody bows to him. Just remember in the future
when you have to pick between two kings, and making the wrong choice
means off with your head, that you had a chance to reject the divine
right of kings, yet you embaraced it, and now you pay the consequences.

I was just reminding you and others that *God* is going to have the last
word! I wouldn't be at all surprised if *He* decided to kick some butt
some time right away. If America doesn't repent and start following the
laws of God we're going to go lower and lower and the alien which is
among us will go up higher and higher.

If you wish to see the BLESSINGS of Deuteronomy 28 read the verses
before the ones I'm about to print. This covers some of the curses that
will come upon God's children who disobey Him!

This is from the Amplified Bible: Any numbers or letters in front of a
word *were* subscript or superscript and refer to available notes or
references. These curses are going to PURSUE us, AND OVERTAKE US....
Losing one or two cities, yes, entire cities, would be a blessing if
that were all that it cost and if it caused us to turn back to God, but
we won't. We can't. We seem to think we ARE God so we couldn't begin
to admit we're not! :-(

Take it up with George W. Bush. He's the guy who thinks he's God. Him
and his deluded followers, who wanted their God to overrule the rule of
law and force God's Will on an unfortunate woman. Look up in that Bible
of yours what YHWH does to humans who dare to take his mantle and
proclaim themselves God. There are numerous examples; you shouldn't have
to dig too deep. Then get back to us.

Well, it took the state of Florida, some leftist judges, and her
"husband" Michael about 14 days to kill Terri - not counting the other
14 or 15 YEARS! (This has been extensively covered on The Power Hour
with Joyce and Dave, as well as other broadcasters.)

I believe Wednesday will be 14 days SINCE she was starved (and
dehydrated) to death.

I'm NOT PREDICTING ANYTHING will happen; but here's betting that IF
something serious did happen, like a couple of U.S. or even more
specifically a couple of Florida cities disappearing, VERY FEW WOULD
LEARN ANYTHING AT ALL and even fewer would admit that God had anything
at all to do with it! :-)

Happy DXing to all!

Jeb Bush could have taken her into protective custody at any
time and had the tube reinserted. After generating a big hoopla
over her plight when it served his purpose and making some grand
but empty gestures, he disappeared into the political woodwork
when it was time to back up his words with actions even if it
damaged his political career.

If God REALLY is angry over this, striking Jeb down with a bolt
of lightning, or the Plague, or just crushing him like a grape
in front of the TV cameras would do more to get the point across
AND punish the hypocritical guilty than leveling a few Florida
cities.

I'm sure you agree. ^_^

Shortwave.

This just in: Jeb Bush, George W. Bush, and Tom Delay have been struck
by bolts of lightning which appeared out of a clear blue sky! A booming
voice came out of nowhere, and declared that the election was indeed
rigged, and that John Kerry will henceforth serve out the remainder of
W's term. Scientists are baffled. Christian Conservatives deny that this
was the work of God, and said it must be Satan up to his old tricks
again, although they could not explain how Satan got access to the
lightning. In other news, Michael Jackson has become Black again, and
has vowed to move to Africa and marry an African woman.

We can always dream, can't we? But if you have a direct line to God, I
suggest that you show this post to him.

Exactly. And the fact that she really died, in all the important ways,
15 years ago, makes harping about it even lamer than it is at first
glance.

Florida's Child Protective Services would probably do that.

They may not be willing to remove a child from an abusive
home, even if it leads to that child's death (as the wealth
of news stories detailing exactly that can testify); but
cross one of their arbitrary rules and they'll be on you
like white on rice.

There is NO LAW that says one individual can arbitrarily take another
individual away from a family. Such a move would have been
kidnapping. What makes you think such a move would be legal?

We're not talking about one individual taking another from a
family; we're talking about THE STATE taking an individual away.
THE STATE doesn't have to worry about whether a move is legal
or not because IT makes the laws!

Jeb-boy could have had his rubber stamp state legislature pass a
law allowing him to take custody of Ms. Schiavo, if none of the
current ward of the State/endangered individual/medical
emergency laws applied and gave him that right. It would have
been thrown out of court in a heartbeat; but only after his
flunkies would have put the tube back in, starting the process
all over again. And if keeping Ms. Schiavo alive was as
SUPERHUMANLY IMPORTANT as he made it out to be when he was
making political capital out of this mess, then that's what
he would have done.

He didn't.

The hypocrite.

I thought Republicans were against Government control of people's
lives? Against Government intrusion into private affairs? This
was a private, family matter, and it was handled legally. It was the
parents who turned it into a circus sideshow, complete with Jesse
Jackson as MC. The parents who, BTW, had no legal standing in this
to start with.

Republicans SAY they are against government control of people's
lives. In reality, on those matters in which they feel they
know better/are more moral than 'the common folk', they're
even WORSE at interfering than the Democrats.
