Yes and no. The problem with the 2001D is there are a number of sub
models for specific markets,and they have various restrictions on them
that are NOT on the 2010.
Some have coverage holes (no air band), Italian version has some holes
in the HF bands, the Saudi version has no SSB or Synch detector
(disabled) or air band... My recollection from the service manual is
there are at least 4 variants of the 2001D that have feature/coverage
holes mandated by local regulations.
