Greetings Tracy! It may be a dumb question but what is a switcher? I
have never heard the term before. I am familiar with Fair Radio Sales.
Never bought anything from them before. Thanks for the answer in
advance! Have a great weekend! Jon.

Jon,

In addition, switching power supplies can be rather noisey and
interfere with radio reception but they are more efficient than linear
supplies. The original supplies were linear power supplies. Linear
power supplies are somewhat wasteful but they work well in the radio
environment. While being large and heavy, I would still like to get an
original supply for this radio along with the transmitter. I did find a
complete setup for 900 dollars in Tampa but I don't have the time to go
get it right now.

Your ignorance and lies are showing yet again. That complaint was forwarded via
cox.net. As far as I know, *YOU* are the only poster here from cox.net.

Caught in another lie, Fort..

Really sad when you play the nonchalant, devil may care necrophiliac on the
newsgroup, but behind the scenes you become the petty little failure of a human
being that you are. Did the military teach you dishonesty, or did you pick it up
on your own?

How about that apology to all the victims of cancer and their families? This
..sig can end here and now, with just a simple public apology from you.

Don't state the obvious. He will send a fraudulent complaint of illegal Internet
activity to your provider. He can sure dish it out, but he can't take the
slightest criticism...not very mature.

Oh, *that* would be good for a laugh. My personal news spool goes
back 500 days for all users and forever for, ah, "special" ones.
Like your very own canuck "Psycho Jim" who even you thought should
be in a mental hospital.

Anyway, I've got several hundred messages just under the "beerbarrel"
name alone, which he started using late last year as a "login." He
was going by Traci (with a smiley-face over the i) before that.

Well designed and built switching power supplies can be as quiet as
the better linear power supplies, and quieter than the cheap ones. Most
AM radio stations are buying solid state transmitters which are not much
more than a modified 1 to 50 KW switching power supply.

I might be willing to meet you half way when you admit that you
started this fight by saying that I had sex with my sister. Do I need
to repost that?

Let me save you the trouble. Here it is. I never mentioned sex. Your fevered
imagination, combined with what appears to be poor reading comprehension, did.

As the rest of us know, the best reason to go the wood shed is to get wood. Your
sister may have had a tough time carrying in the wood because of the weight. She
may have had a tough time chopping the wood and needed help with that.

She may well have needed an opinion as to how long the existing wood stockpile
would last before more sawing and splitting was in order. She may have well
wanted to know the BTU content of pine compared to maple. She could easily do
that, as she's always been smarter than you and much more aware of the world she
lives in.

Now, given these very valid reasons to be called to the wood shed, I find it
very telling that you automatically thought of *SEX* as the first option. You
are obviously one sick puppy. Your own sister...shame...you make decent human
beings everywhere throw up.(*)

prohibited by law.

Remember when, over countless posts, he was trying to insult Brenda Ann? She's
one of the most knowledgeable and nicest people here. By him repeatedly
attacking her, I learned what 'bierbarrel©'(1) was worth as a human being. He
appears to have no redeeming qualities. Even his unredeeming qualities are
boring at best...the moral equivalent of ''tard' and 'tote'. Yawwwnnn...

That's where the good stuff is Mike! All those old folks go down
there, retire and take the good stuff with them. It was a nice setup
the guy had. It was all original with the P/S, transmitter, and
receiver. It just needed the antenna. You are pretty close to Tampa
aren't you?

Tracy

Closer to Ocala, and "The Villages" where thousands of retirees move
in every year. Let me know if you're ever down here and maybe we can
meet to say hello.

I am getting used computers from some of them for my "Computers for
Veterans" project. I collect and repair, then give away computers to
disabled Veterans, and Veterans who are down on their luck. There is a
link on the right side of the "Organization" line of this message header
that will take you to the website I have started building. It explains
more of what I'm trying to do. A brief mention was made in the
"Community Bulletin Board" in the local paper last week. I received 25
e-mails and two phone numbers from people who want to donate parts,
software, and full computer systems..
