IMPARTIAL BROADCASTS? - (LETTER TO THE EDITOR, NEW YORK TIMES, JULY 3):
"The Armstrong Williams NewsHour," by Frank Rich (column, June 27) by deploying the word "propaganda," does a great disservice to the more than 140 million people worldwide who look to entities operated by the bipartisan Broadcasting Board of Governors -- the federal body that supervises all nonmilitary international United States media outlets, Voice of America included -- for their reliable news and information. |
