So I'm curious to know if there are any general SWL online groups,
aside from this fine rec.radio.shortwave, that any of you folks might recommend. Back when I remember that the old SWL group on QTH.net was pretty active but I guess that the cantankerous ways of that Duane, the list administrator, has put enough people off that this group is only a shadow of what it once was. It's my understanding that a lot of the activity has gone to the Yahoo groups but there seem to be so darn many of them that I just thought I'd ask here which of these groups is worthwhile and not inundated with junk, spam and nonsense. There seem to be a lot of Yahoo groups of such specificity as to render them useful only if you want opinions on a particular product or if you're having trouble with that particular product. What I'm looking for is simply a few decent, general SWL groups, Yahoo or otherwise, which have large enough of an active membership to make membership worthwhile. |
