Default Mega Flare!

There is currently a 'mega flare' on the Sun. I'm no expert, but I
believe this is very bad news for HF propagation.

I can still get Radio Australia on my Sirius.

So what? I can still get Australia even with the flare. And I don't pay
a fee. And I don't need Big Brother's approval to listen.

If you were actually listening during the event you may have had your
satellite reception interrupted.

www.cyberspaceorbit.com has or did have (I think) some good
information about that Mega Flare. There are other space websites that
have Mega Flare information too. www.spaceweather.com and that
NOAA website.A dude at cyberspaceorbit talks about hydrogen pills for
fuel. That's old hat stuff.U.S.Army has some Trucks that can run on
Hydrogen pills (I saw one of them in Vietnam) and water.Motor Pool used
to take the intake valves out of the engines and drill a one sixtheenth
inch diameter hole in the center of the valves and then put the valves
(balves) back in the engines.I know why.Do you?

The intake balves.Red Hot Carbon spots form in the drilled holes in the
intake balves.Even if the engine ignition system gets drowned out when
fording deep water, the engines keep on running. You have to have the
trucks in gear and your foot on the brakes when you shut off the
ignition or else they will run away from you.
