How could a communist country allow the public to have access to a shortwave radio. Although Hong Kong was under the Brits. As for the way the radio looks. It seem to have that portable 70's look. The radio can be sneaked around without much notice. Even a very cheep radio qualifies for bring outside information. Get it? SR You are showing your abysmal ignorance. If you had actually tuned a radio across the short wave bands, you would have encountered several mainland Chinese statons broadcasting in Mandarin and local Chinese dialects. Those stations are obviously for domestic Chinese audiences. If you had ever opened up a copy of the World Radio TV Handbook, you would have found a list of some of those stations. |

Oh you just have to have the mint condition boxes for the radios or else
they won't work or sell at all.Didn't those radios sell for about forty or forty five dollars brand new with the brand new boxes? cuhulin |

The Superadio II hasn't been produced in 20+ years and is well sought after
by Superadio collectors. A mint one in the box will command good money. Not unusual for a nice Superadio I without box to sell in the $200+ range on Ebay now and then. wrote in message ... bought in Saigon in 1964.The last time I saw something in Antique Trader magazine about ten years ago about the same model radio, the radio was worth about $350.00.I wonder how much it is worth now? cuhulin |
