Greetings Rev. Stang,

I am pleased to report that we have successfully accomplished two
airings of The Hour of Slack on WBCQ 7415 shortwave. On September 18,
at 5pm eastern, we ran HoS 1013, and yesterday, September 25, we ran
HoS 1010, the "generic" hour of slack. We've had a couple more intrepid
contributors step up to Bob's plate and extend our shortwave experiment
another month, to 14 weeks. Ionsopheric conditions were quite nice the
past couple of airings and WBCQ's Slack was heard in Missouri, Rhode
Island and here in Maryland with a most excellent full fidelity
amplitude modulated signal.

My friends in The Bowling League, as our loose collection of sponsors
is known, have asked if I might arrange for one of the vintage Susie
the Floozy shows to air on WBCQ before too long. Keep 'em rolling to
alt.binaries.multimedia.slack, we love 'em.

If you get any reports from people who might have heard HoS on
shortwave, we'd be happy to hear about it.

Prabob,

Lw

That's a little better, but hadn't you oughta start even LATER owing to the
fact that you are essentially on the 40M amateur band which doesn't "open
up" until well after sundown?

I gots a PC shortwave card in my 'puter, and if I rekky member, I hope to
monitor you. But propagation has been so LOUSY lately.

Hay, do you think you could manage LSB instead of AM?

How many watts are you anyhow?

Yes, we were hoping for the later time slot at the beginning but
another programmer beat us to it. If this turns out to be crappy in
the long term we'll try and move it later in the evening.

Yes 2100 is okay for the east coast but hit and miss for elsewhere. It
should slowly improve over the next few weeks unless the sun belches
and farts. It got as far as Missouri last weekend.

50,000 watts into a super-fab antenna that beams from Monticello,
Maine, towards Mexico City.
