From 1830 to 1900 UTC today Oct. 22, 2005
I was hearing VOA on 11865 kHz. They were playing John Denver music, interspersed with what sounded like a European language between songs. A VOA ID came up in English just before 1900 as they went off. The only reference I can find is the latest EIBI data showing it was VOA: 1800 1900 USA Voice of America TU TUR 792/GRC 11865/CLN (so Turkish language/target Turkey?) The CLN code gives me this at the end of the EIBI data for transmitters: VoA: Iranawila 07N32-79E30 VOA's site says : Turkish 1800-1900 UTC on 792 11865 11925 15235 http://www.voanews.com/english/about...ciesAtoZ_t.cfm What and where is Iranawila??? |
