For One and All,
A Compellation of Shortwave Listening (SWL) Information and Messages http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Shortw...a/message/6620 International Shortwave Broadcast Radio Programming is different form the customary AM and FM Radio that you may be use to : It is NOT 24 Hours and 7 Days a Week on One Frequency. Shortwave Listening is about trying to Catch (Tune and Hear) a Moving Target. THAT IS WHY SHORTWAVE LISENING (SWL) CAN BE : * Fun for the Shortwave Listener (SWL) ![]() * Difficult for the Shortwave Listener (SWL) :-( [ A Challenge and Achievement providing Enjoyment :] First - Most International Shortwave Broadcasters do NOT Broadcast for 24 Hours each Day every Day. Second - Most International Shortwave Broadcasters broadcast at different Times during the 24 Day-Night Cycle to different Target Areas/Countries; and often use different Languages Depending on the Target Audience. Third - Some International Shortwave Broadcasters Do NOT broadcast on every published Frequency on every Day; and they often change Frequencies and Times with out notice.
