Roger,
My Opinion {Reasons} on Three Good Choices in 'portable' AM/FM Shortwave Radio Question : Sony ICF-2010 / Sony ICF-SW7600GR / Eton E1 with XM Satellite Radio If you have the Money - Then Buy the Sony ICF-2010 as it is the better of the two Radios. The problem with the Sony ICF-2010 is that they are not being made anymore; and you have to take the time to find a 'good' Used Radio that is fully functional and has not been damaged or abused over the years. Used Sony ICF-2010 Radios can go for $240 to $360 on eBay with some claimed New-In-the-Box Sony ICF-2010 Radios going for $500 to $750. http://www.dxing.com/rx/icf2003.htm http://www.universal-radio.com/catal...able/0841.html http://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/479 http://www.universal-radio.com/used/sold009.html SONY ICF-2010 RADIO GROUP : Here is a Link to the Sony ICF-2010 eGroup on YAHOO ! The Sony ICF-SW7600GR Radio can be bought "New" for about $150 and it is the best 'portable' AM/FM Shortwave Radio out there in it's Price Range [.] http://www.universal-radio.com/catal...able/0360.html http://www.dxing.com/rx/icfsw760.htm http://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/1534 SONY ICF-SW7600GR RADIO GROUP : Here is a Link to the Sony ICF-SW7600GR eGroup on YAHOO !
