Russia Continues to Slide Into Dictatorship
by Lev Navrozov .... A veteran human rights activist has said that a Defense Ministry plan to establish a new combat force responsible for radio jamming devices could mean a return to the Soviet-era practice of jamming foreign radio and television broadcasts. "It appears that our country is sliding back to the times when jamming was introduced in the Soviet Union," Lev Ponomaryov told Nezavisimaya Gazeta. "Control of the dissemination of information via the Internet and radio will become the next logical step." .... http://www.newsmax.com/archives/arti...9/190441.shtml http://www.newsmax.com/pundits/Navrozov.shtml |

Sure, Putin is a power hungry son-of-a-Bush, but the article is just an
opinion piece, not journalism. Of course, what would you expect from newsmax. SeeingEyeDog wrote: Russia Continues to Slide Into Dictatorship by Lev Navrozov ... Maybe the Russians would use classical music to jam CRI. That would be a nice change of pace. I heard a program on CRI yesterday with a couple of very American sounding announcers reading mail from people about their hometowns (in China). They put in a strong enough signal here to run the LED s-meter on my Kenwood RZ-1 to the top of the scale and keep it there.. |

At the beginning of Putin's presidency Lev Navrozov was writing a weekly column for Moscovskaya Pravda (had nothing to do with Pravda) in Russia. "Lev Navrozov: NewsMax.com columnist and journalist. One of the most brilliant minds in the world, according to many distinguished Westerners and Russians. Published over 1,000 columns and articles on the destiny of civilization, world culture, foreign policy, strategy, defense, and intelligence work since his emigration from Russia in 1972. Winner of the Albert Einstein Prize for outstanding intellectual achievements. Author of The Education of Lev Navrozov (Harper & Row, 1975), compared by the reviewers to Mark Twain, Proust, Orwell, Voltaire, and Dostoyevsky. More than twenty of his articles are in the United States Congressional Record." What Saul Bellow, possibly the greatest American novelist, a Nobel Prize laureate, a scholar, and a thinker, had to say about Lev Navrozov's latest book in a letter to him as follows: 'I doubt whether you (or anyone) can restore the diminishing sight of what you call "the sightless and hence doomed" West. What one can attempt is to describe the condition in its fundamentals. This indispensable description if it is to be uncontestable will take more strength than any normal man has, for what we have is a probably fatal case of political poisoning, and the distortions and hallucinations it causes may be impossible to dispel.' http://www.levnavrozov.com/ http://www.newsmax.com/pundits/Navrozov.shtml You Miso, are certainly poisoned and hallucinating on Left-wing-Liberal-"Progressive"-Socialist-Kommunist propagandic lies and distortions. But since you are in Seattle that doesn't surprise me. |

Do you know how to get something entered into the congressional record.
One way is to have some loser politician read it out loud on the floor. Oh, and the floor can be empty. Navrozov has fans. Big deal. I'm sure Castro has his fans, but that doesn't mean he tells the truth all the time either. The US still blasts Radio Marti at Cuba. Do you think Cuba thinks of it as QRM? One man's propaganda signal is another man's QRM. SeeingEyeDog wrote: propagandizedrote Sure, Putin is a power hungry son-of-a-Bush, but the article is just an opinion piece, not journalism.
