What a disgrace. But thats Polly for you. Polly was what his buddies

Good work Riley. George has even received letters from FCC enforcement as
well.

Default Antenna's are dangerous!!

I just sent a quote request to my handyman to see how much he wants to
add a length of wire across my roof crest and down the side of the house.

My home, two story, if way to high for my ass to be up there!

"Antenna's are dangerous!!"

The antennas people put up are not dangerous. It is the people who
install them that put themselves in danger.

horrendous! Does anyone know of a better newsgroup to seriously discuss

Subject: Sony 2010 synchronous detector operation

I have recently purchased a Sony 2010 partly based upon the high marks
given to
the synchronous detector circuit and how it can dramatically improve
reception.
I have played around with it and it does on occasion help, but not
dramatically. Signals still fade, even strong ones. In my opinion it
helps "a
little". It appears to function correctly. The manual instucts the
user to
turn on the synchronous circuit and then rotate the tunning knob till
the
opposite side band light is illuminated.
I would like to know comments from other users regarding the
use of the
sychronous detector on the 2010.
Does anyone have experience with internal adjustments for this
circuit?
Also does anyone know of any mods to the radio other than the
one for
front-end overload protection? Perhaps a mod for some of the filters
or other
circuits.

Some people say the Sony 2010's are great, then some people say the Sony
2010's are mediocre.I really dont know,I have never owned a Sony 2010
before.Maybe someday,I might luck up and find me a Sony 2010 at the
Goodwill store for about two or three or four dollars. That all depends
on how much I flirt with and tease and sweet talk them beautifull
wimmins that work over there at the Goodwill thrift store.Yeah,I flirts
with them wimmins over there all the time.

Anybody putting up an antenna needs to plan how it may come down
accidently. A tower needs to have a place to fall without hitting other
structures. Any kind of antenna conductor needs to be away from power
lines so they will not fall on top of them. You would want to be away
from power lines for noise issues anyway. You have to know you are safe
walking around on a roof or you should not be up there.
