Whatever happened to Radio For Peace International? I seem to remember
some story about them being locked out of their studios, but I don't remember the whole story. They were the best source of left wing looniness on shortwave, along with RHC. And they were created by the UN! Their slogan should have been: "RFPI: Proving Joe McCarthy Right With Every Transmission!" ![]() posts. I wonder what RFPI would have said about, say, Iraq? |

I think they are streaming on the internet these days. Not sure if they will return to the air but seems I last heard that they were trying to get something together again. dxAce Michigan USA Here's the full story of how they got locked out, from a left wing magazine. If you can stand a little left wing pontificating (ie the idea that it's all W's fault) then it makes for interesting reading. http://www.earthisland.org/project/n...7&subSiteID=44 Apparently somebody brought in a new president of the university who wasn't aligned with the vision of RFPI or former University for Peace leaders. Since RFPI was operating under a questionable agreement with the university, all it took was for somebody to stand up and say "hey, you're not legally entitled to be here" for the roof to cave in. Also notable is the fact that it only cost them $200k to build the station. Even in inflation adjusted dollars that's not very much. |

Ech! Peace! What left-wing looniness. Exactly. Wanton and gratuitous death, mutilation, torture and destruction is where it's at. Every REAL American knows that. mike |
